Saver sub for horizontal directional drilling

Product Description

The length of crossover subs is generally measured from shoulder to shoulder. Typical lengths range from 6" - 28" long going up in increments of 2 inches with AISI 4145H, AISI 4145H Mod, AISI 4340, AISI 4140-4142 and Non-magnetic material. All connections are phosphate-coated or copper plated to improve resistance to corrosion. Crossover subs come in three basic types: A Pin (male) * Box (female); B Pin (male) * Pin (male); C Box (female) * Box (female)

Operation Method

After the drill bit and the directional joint are connected and tightened, the included Angle between the large water hole of the drill bit and the directional key of the directional joint is detected.

After the drilling tool is run, the azimuth Angle of the large water hole is calculated according to the azimuth Angle of the directional key determined by the drift indicator at a single point.

Change the large water hole of the drill bit to the desired azimuth Angle, then lock the turn and start the pump drill in;

In case of deflection, take the way of side deflection, side light pressure bit, help deflection;

Deflection 2 ~ 3 meters, light pressure slow rotation into 4 ~ 5 meters;

Repeat the above operation several times, when the deviation Angle reaches the expected requirements, reduce the weight on bit and increase the speed to smooth deviation.
